Is this correct? Can I use a next phrase about kitten`s behavior аs a metaphor? He has two modes: on and off or better sounds turn off and turn on?

Yes you can use "on" and "off." This is a very creative way to use language. Often it can be humorous as well. You could use a comparison "like" or "as." Or if used correctly you could simply use "on" and "off." My kitten turns on in the mornings and off at night.

you can also use the term "on" to describe the energy level of your kitten. "My kitten is always on! he never stops playing." Hope this helped :)
