sacar y tomar I was reading my spanish book recently and the book used "sacar" for taking a photo.....but why not tomar? I think both can be used? but if so, why is there two words for this?!

We can use both f them. You can even use the word " hacer" ( el hizo una foto)

In Spanish you can say "sacar, tomar y echar" for take a picture. Yo saco una foto. Yo tomo una foto. Yo echo una foto.

Brenden, as Rafael told you, those three words are valid. I think in Spain is more frequent to say: "Yo hago una foto".
