No, but pinyin, which most people use to learn/type Chinese, uses the Roman alphabet.
Also, each character has a radical, which is similar to an alphabet, if you like. (Google "chinese radical index").

In Taiwan we learn Chinese by Bopomofo. There are 37 letters and 5 tones.
e.g. Taiwan=台灣 台ㄊㄞˊ 灣ㄨㄞ
