Por cierto, se tomaban de "Cuéntame cómo pasó", una serie española. 1. Las normas son de aplicación (What is "Ser de aplicación"?) The norms are ________ 2. Ni el mata mulas ni nadie impedirá que pase la navidad con mis hijas Even ______ won't prevent me from being with my kids in christmas 3. La soledad es una losa loneliness is ________ (I would say "una mierda", but I'm not 100% sure...xD) ¡Muchísimas gracias! Aviel

1. Las normas son de aplicación = Estas normas hay que aplicarlas. "Son de aplicación"= "They are meant to be applied". 2. "mata mulas" = "mule killer". This sentence means that nobody is going to prevent him to be with his kids at Christmas, but I don't know if he is calling someone "mata mulas" or if it is just the first (kind of) insult that he have came across with, but it doesn't exist as an expression that can mean anything else. 3. It could be "mierda", but "losa" (slab) gives it the connotation of a weight that you carry.
