If the odds are tipped in your favor/favour, it means that something has happened which means that you are now more likely to get what you want. Let's say that your class is going to vote for class president. There are several candidates, including yourself and a very popular classmate. If this person decides to drop out of the competition, this makes it more likely that you will win. This tips the odds in your favour.
