Writing a postcard for christmas :) Dear all, I would like to send some postcards on christmas to Icelandic friends. So I have different questions ;) 1. Is there actually a nickname for the women's name "Lára"? 2. How do you say "Thank you for the good/great time!"? Is it possible to say "Takk fyrir góðan tíminn!"? 3. How do you say "I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year!"? 4. How do you send greetings? I only learnt "Með bestu kveðju", but this is too formal. A lot of questions! Thank you in advance for helping! :)

1. No. 2. I don't know. Maybe: Takk fyrir góðar samverustundir-Thank you for times spent together (Some things don't really have a direct translation to Icelandic and vice versa) 3. Gleðileg jól og farsælt komandi nýtt ár. 4. Bestu kveðjur/Kveðju/Kv. Hope this helps :)
