My English Level I've made some English tests recently and all the tests say, that my English level ist actually B2. Is there any scale that relates age to language level that says that a student that is, for example, 10, has to have a level X? Is the level B2 already a ''good'' level? Should I invest more time in English? Please, leave your comment/answer. Thanks a lot.

B2 is very good, so congratulations on your English learning so far. A native, adult, educated English speaker is expected to be a minimum of C2, which is 9 on the IELTS scale; B2 is 5.5 to 6.5 on IELTS. Comparing IELTS to children is very difficult. Based on my quick Google searching, B2 is roughly equivalent to a GCSE 'C' pass, which is a child of 16 just passing their written English exam. This, of course, has nothing to do with their ability to speak and communicate orally! I'm currently only barely A2 with Spanish!

Hello Rodrigo, All the English tests are rated according to how good a person's English skill is. They are unrelated to a person's age. For example, if we campare a ten year old kid who had already lived in England for ten years to an University Student from Brazil that just came to England to study. Even though the ten year old kid is younger, his English is still going to be much better than the exchange student from Brazil. Good luck Axlent
