In the US, we don't use "I'll bet my buttons." "I'll bet my hat" means I am completely certain that I am right, so certain that I'll bet my valuable hat that I'm right. (This is an older expression from the days when hats were very valuable.) You can also say, "I'll bet my bottom dollar." Which means the same, here referring to the last dollar you have.
