How to start learning Brazil Portuguese? I just finished the first 33 alfabeto learning, and I'm really interested in this cuz the R is not that hard to pronounce. Could anyone share the experience on how to start a self learning course?

I have a guide that I wrote specifically for self-learning, if you would like to have it. It's free to download. http://theworldspeaks9.wordpress.com/language-guides/. Look for Aprende o Português!

There's this book called " Teach yourself Brazilian Portuguese ", it comes with audio. It's a great start. The book brings dialogues and easy grammar explanations with practical exercise. It's perfect for those who want to start a new language and do it by themselves! In case you'd like to have it, I can send you the link with the download, both PDF and Audio!

You should study with a teacher. You can choose one here on Italki and also interact with native speakers. Good luck!

Hello, how are you? Well, I think you could star learning simple greetings like "olá!" or "como você está hoje?". There are thousands and thousands of websites about how you can learn Portuguese. In the beginning I recommend learn what I call of "survivor Portuguese", in other words, you should learn phrases of how to behave in a restaurant, a hospital, in a social meeting and so on. Like I said, there are a lot of stuff about that on the internet. I recommend this website: http://www.easyportuguese.com/ If you need help, don't be shy and count with me. God bless you. Bye.
