"The best thing happened to me is that one month after my joining she came onboard" If so, it is okay to say ""The best thing has happened to me is that one month after my joining she came onboard" (has happened) Thanks in advance Niwantha

The reason we need to use the word "that" is that it is a subject relative clause. You're correct that in an object relative clause, we can omit the word "that" -- as I did in my first sentence in this correction.
