Explains my unease is owed to Talbot's rumbustious score ,with is blatancies and hectoring effects, and the orchestral performance on Saturday night under David Briskin's baton was no beguiling thing Could you use simple words to explain it.

I think the writer is trying to impress the reader with his use of words but he overdoes it. A "translation" might be: He didn't like the music by the composer Talbot. It was unpleasant to listen to, lacked melody and disturbed rather than comforted the listener. The orchestra did not perform well either.
