What do I need to get proficiency in English? I've been studying English for three years, and since I'm ending my course at college, I know it's important to get proficiency in English. I know that I have to study more vocabulary, expressions and grammar. I don't have hard time reading and writing, but I fell that I need to improve my speaking and listening much more. Around the problem, my question is: If I want to apply for a job, and say that I have proficiency in English, how good my english is supposed to be? Do I need to speak as a native? Do I need to understand and speak everything? I need the questions to make new goals.

There is no magic moment when you suddenly become fluent in English. Practice speaking and learning new words every day and you will meet all your goals.

I believe that you will find a higher level of profiency by continuing to write your thoughts here and by speaking with native speakers. I think that immersion in the country is the best way but not everyone has the means to live abroad. Having spoken to you personally I think you are well on your way to reaching your goal. You seem to be very dedicated to this and I expect you will have great success.

It depends on the job of course. If you are going to be preparing complex documents or letters, your English needs to be at a high level - probably higher than the average native speaker. Most jobs are of course not like that! If what you wrote above is an example of the standard of your written English, you should have no problem fitting in to most organisations if you have the other skills they want. When you come to apply for a job, get an English native speaker to look over your application to check for any errors before submitting it. Most employers will be looking at the skills you have not whether you can write a thesis. They will expect you to know how to write a clear grammatically correct email message to clients. Seek out every opportunity to speak English with native speakers and you will improve quickly. Good luck.
