How are the participles used? Is it the same as English where you would say: I am running Mi estas kuranta

I am running. = Mi estas kuranta. This is the correct equivalent, but in practical usage the form "Mi estas kuranta" is only seldom used, but people just say: "Mi kuras" or "Mi kuras nun".
