What is the difference between mist and haze?

'The air is misty today'. There are fine water particles in the air, such as seen at the sea shore, but not necessarily solid particles such as dust. 'The air is hazy today'. There a visible change in the air such that things look blurry caused by solid particles in the air. The air of large cities often becomes hazy due to air pollution.
