It is made up of the cost of goods manufactured costs of direct materials, direct labor, and overhead. Question: I don't understand the part of "costs of direct materials, direct labor, and overhead." in terms of grammar. I think that the first part ended at "manufactured" is already a completed sentence. What is the relationship of "costs of direct materials, direct labor, and overhead" and "the cost of goods manufactured"? 2.These three cost elements are accumulated as a batch of products is being produced. When the batch has been completed, the product unit cost is computed. Question: I don't understand the grammar of "is being produced". Does there omit a conjunction or something?

1. There should be a comma after "manufactured". The omission is a typo. 2. The phrase "as a batch of products is being produced" is an adverbial clause. You could substitute "while" for the conjunctive "as" to make it a little clearer.
