Are both sentences OK? I'm looking at a picture of someone. If I ask them, How old were you there? How old are you there?

Both of these are correct, just different tenses: How old were you (when you did something)? How old are you (now)? "there" seems superfluous here. In this case, it would designate a location, which doesn't make sense.
