Can anyone recommend a good way to practice handwriting in Persian script? I have seen some files online for practicing separate letters of the alphabet, but the writing is really big (like for a chalkboard, and not like what someone would write on a lined piece of paper (8 1/2 x 11), for example), and also when some letters are joined, they look different than how they appear separately. Is there a good way to practice writing words, in order to practice joining letters? I want to write my homework by hand, but right now my handwriting looks pretty bad, and it is awkward for me :( Just looking for a way to improve.

Arabic script is a" writing system" used for writing several languages of Asia and Africa, such as Arabic, Sorani and Luri Dialects of Kurdish language, Persian, Pushto and Urdu. Constant manual practice is the only solution to improve "hand writing". Make a schedule for practice your Persian on a daily basis, you will feel remarkably good improvement in a very short time. Keep up this good work and all the best .

as our friend Javaid said, the only way to have a better handwriting is through practicing on a daily basis but I assume there may be one or two things you could do to progress faster. for example you can ask your Persian friends to upload pictures or preferably videos of their handwriting so that you can familiarize with mono-line script writing. I actually checked youtube on that and couldn't find something satisfactory (instead found some nice calligraphy videos :D) also checking different Persian fonts may help. here are some: http://www.mediafire.com/download/z3o8zkauldcp3e8/some_Persian_fonts.rar and about your difficulty with different forms of letters you can check this out. http://www.mediafire.com/view/yjzhs6w3btuxijg/الفبا.pdf I made it for a friends a couple of month ago. hope these help and good luck with your learning :)

This is the workbook that Iranian first-graders use for practicing their handwriting: https://www.mediafire.com/?uf3j0lca66df663 I think you can find it quite useful, albeit a bit boring! Also, I think it's a good idea to start typing Persian at the same time.
