is it called home leave? a person who works in his company but wants to vist his family overseas. is it correct to say : He is approved of a home leave?(home leave means temperary leave his company for visiting his family?) Thank you!He is approved of a home leave in XXX(place) or to XXX(place)?

Yes. "He is approved for home leave in XXX". This assumes XXX is his home country.

"a leave of absence to go home " is a good way to say it......" a leave " is very much a military term meaning a " leave . For example a solder would say " I am on a 30 day leave " . A vacation and a leave are similar.Correct is to say " for a leave " not " of a leave "
