What are native Russian speakers impressions of people learning Russian? For example when ordering food or booking a car rental....Are they forgiving? Any learners or native's experiences welcome :) Thanks

I respect people learning my native language. I know that it isn't easy. Most Russians are also friendly and helpful. I think that any normal person regardless of nationality is tolerant to learners of their language.

I deal with this every day. :) Russians are pretty forgiving, even when they have no knowledge of English in return, and many locals have tolerantly listened to my mangling.
