always copied never duplicated? saw 'always copied never duplicated' in a book I’m reading,First thing comes to me while I was reading this sentence is the translation of it in Chinses'一直被模仿,从未被超越'. I check it in English on Baidu, merely get a result as some dude asked how to translate“一直被模仿,从未被超越”in English, and some others(usully some Chinese considered been good at English)give anwsers like'always copied never transcended' or 'always copied never surpassed' ...I am confused... I know original version probably came from the Coca-Cola famed ads,I aware it by some Chinese cyber stuff, not sure whether it is true. And I am helpless to dig it further. those sentences I mentioned before expressed almost same thing, which one is more original (or Englishize, sorry don't know a proper word)

On the face of it, copy and duplicate seem to be synonyms, but copy here refers to an imitation, and the implication is that it's not the same or as good as the original. A duplication implies that it's exactly the same as the original.
