A general term for the group of words.
What's a general term for words like "mister", "miss", "sir", "ma'am" and such? I've seen it once but forgot to write down.

Iris and Cherry are both correct. These are personal titles (formal), however they are also called "forms of address". If you meet someone new, you might ask them, "How should I address you", e.g., by first name or by title and surname.
