Is this correct French? So I realize that this is very basic French, and that I should probably know this by now, but I am still a little confused when it comes to sentence structure and what not. Is this correct? "Je parle francais mauvais." Any advice on sentence structure or vocabulary would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I would understant what you said, but it's better to say "je ne parle pas bien français" When a concept doesn't exist in French (like "speaking badly") we tend to use the negative ("not speaking well"). There are a lot of occasion when thoughts don't translate all that well from one language to the other. It,s just a question of rephrasing it in more simple words.

You should say : Je parle un mauvais français Check this link : http://www.francaisfacile.com/forum/lire.php?num=7&msg=20328&titre=Mal,+mauvais,+bien,+bonne
