Rafting on the río negro is great. Take advantage of Ciclovía every Sunday as it is a great way to see the city without so much car pollution. Eat lots of beef since it is much cheaper and more flavorful there. Don't wear shorts or flip-flops in Bogotá. And most importantly NO DA PAPAYA (in other words, don't be flashy, don't walk around with lots of cash, your passport and a big camera around your neck and just generally be smart and careful). I don't mean to scare you, it just pays to be smart. Any native will tell you the same.
