WRITING TEST OF THE IELTS - GENERAL TRANNING. I have started preparing for the Ielts test since Mar. I haven’t taken any English class or English exams before, so I don’t know how to get the test with high score. Because of my job, I need to take the general training with at least 6.5 band. I can practice listening, reading and speaking skills by myself, but for writing skill, I don’t know how to write a writing test (general writing test). Can you please help to recommend some books, websites,…which can help to improve my writing skill. Thanks for your help in advance.

For the IELTS writing part, you would need to write an essay and a letter (general exam), so it's necessary to learn how these are structured and what phrases are appropriate. The academic test would require a description of a graph (for example) and a response to an argument. If you haven't done so already, search for "IELTS writing part". There are hundreds of sites that can give you advice on this part. Of course, you can use Notebook on italki to post a couple of attempts. I suggest keeping them shorter than usual if you want to increase the chances of getting a correction. There are many teachers and tutors (including me) who can help you with the writing part. A thorough correction of an essay - while we talk to you and give you feedback and advice - will take up to an hour.
