squandering of I think it is proper to leave out 'of' at the following sentence, squandering of one of the world's best educated labor forces. Here's a full sentence. Critics see the women as the embodiment of this country’s productivity problem — squandering of one of the world’s best educated labor forces on banal jobs that do little to make the economy grow.

You could insert "the" before "squandering" and it would make better sense. The punctuation after problem should also be a comma instead.
