The image is/ an image is/ images are? The image is an effective tool to tell story. An image is an effective tool to tell story. Images are effective tools to tell story. Are these sentences correct? If I am referring to 'image' in general, which of the above is preferred?

and another thing, you can use all those sentences. It doesn't matter which one. If you're talking about a specific image, then use the one that starts with 'the'.

They are correct, except you should use "a story" rather than "story". Probably the first one is more common to use to refer to "image" in general.
