Something about "cranky" i was in a lift and overheard two people talk about their work. A: Work the whole morning? B: Yeah A: So cranky, ha? ( or some word like this pronunciation) i can guess the meaning, like "tired" or something. my question is: is this "cranky" often used this way? is it American english or UK english? can it be used just between friends or any other situation?

"Cranky" is a standard word (not slang), and it means "in a bad mood".
