вопрос для русских, которые говорят по-английски. Привет всем! У меня вопрос. Я американец и я изучаю русский, но иногда мои учeбники не хорошо помогают мне выразить свои мысли. Как я могу сказать по-русски эти фразы. Я всегда хотел узнать, как я могу сказать их. We had so much fun dancing the night away. Who in their right mind would ever think of doing that? She's as ugly as she is stupid. After spending so much time thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. I always try to ignore him whenever he walks by. I have the ability to read whatever I want. Спасибо!

We had so much fun dancing the night away. (Вчера мы танцевали всю ночь напролет) Who in their right mind would ever think of doing that? (Кому бы в здравом уме пришло в голову сделать это?) She's as ugly as she is stupid. (Она столь же безобразна, сколь и глупа) After spending so much time thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. (После долгих раздумий я пришел к выводу, что оно того не стоило) I always try to ignore him whenever he walks by. (Я всегда стараюсь игнорировать его, когда он проходит мимо) I have the ability to read whatever I want. (Я могу прочитать все, что захочу)

We had so much fun dancing the night away. Было здорово! Мы танцевали всю ночь напролет. Who in their right mind would ever think of doing that? Кому вообще это придет в голову сделать ... She's as ugly as she is stupid. Она страшна также как и глупа. After spending so much time thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. Хорошо поразмыслив, я пришел к выводу, что оно того не стоило. I always try to ignore him whenever he walks by. Я стараюсь не обращать на него внимания, когда он проходит мимо. I have the ability to read whatever I want. У меня есть возможность читать то, что мне хочется. Что хочу - то и читаю.

Hi Marcus! I'm not really qualified to answer this question in terms of those specific phrases. However, I do understand the problem you've described. I often have something that I wish to express and I can only think of the English phrase which I am unable to translate. I use two approaches to slowly tackle this problem: 1) If possible, I find the direct Russian equivalent if it exists. Then I memorise a couple of example sentences that use it. A great way of doing this is to search for the English phrase and it's translation using this site: http://tatoeba.org 2) When reading Russian texts, take notice of any interesting phrases, especially if you've seen them multiple times. Sometimes you can find them in the dictionary, but you can repeat the process of finding examples sentences on the tatoeba site and then learn those. This way you are tackling phrases and constructions that are not always easily translatable from both sides. Memorising example sentences helps you to be able to use them in the correct contexts and more actively in your speech. Hope this helps!

We had so much fun dancing the night away. - Мы так хорошо повеселились танцуя всю ночь напролет. Who in their right mind would ever think of doing that? - Кто в здравом уме мог бы подумать чтобы сделать такое? She's as ugly as she is stupid. - Она настолько же некрасива насколько и глупа. After spending so much time thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. - Долгое время думая об этом я пришел к выводу что это того не стоило. I always try to ignore him whenever he walks by. - Я всегда стараюсь игнорировать его когда он проходит мимо. I have the ability to read whatever I want. Я имею возможность читать всё что захочу.
