Advice: Help me improve my study plan for Chinese: This is my current study plan. I'm at an intermediate to advanced level if that helps. Please critique. Individually (30 minutes per day) 1 Watch drama line-by-line. (I'm watching 奋斗, which is very Beijing.) 2 Transcribe the subtitles. 3 Look up unknown words and grammar. 4 Look up example sentences for uknown grammar. 5 Repeat step 3 for grammar example sentences. 6 Create and review note cards for vocab. (Anki) 7 Record each of drama line I've studied as an mp3 and put it on my phone to listen to and repeat after throughout the day while walking around, commuting, etc. The recording process is surprisingly quick now that I'm used to it. With Tutor (30 to 60 minutes, two or three times per week) 1 Record the grammar example sentences to audio that I can listen to and repeat later. 2 Ask questions. 3 Practice grammar patterns. 4 Ask other questions. 5 Chat. The sidebar suggests I post this in Mandarin, so I'll do that. Thanks in advance!

1. I do not recommend you watch 奋斗 and learn grammar!!!! But you should watch it to practice your listening and speaking. Because 奋斗 is a very easy-going tv series, it is funny, but do not believe the grammar, it will take you to the wrong direction. I am born in beijing and live in beijing until I move to Sweden, trust me, when beijingness speak, we do not care so much about the grammar! >.< Try watch some Documentary film e.g. A Bite of China(舌尖上的中国), it not only can help you with grammar, words... but also give you know more knowledge about Chinese culture. 2. I suggest you that learning Chinese start by expend your vocabulary, do not focus on grammar tooooo much! yes, it is important, but you will see as long as you have enough words, practice, grammar will be just there, to become to your friend. So practice as much as possible the words that you learned everyday. You can do it! You are also welcome to learn Chinese with me! Hope you will like my suggestions. \Lilly
