Spanish book suggestions for teens What are some popular books for adolescents in Mexico? I'm looking for easy and fun reading material in Spanish. For instance, Divergent, Vampire Diaries, and Hunger Games were popular for kids here in the States. What do kids in Mexico read for fun?

No conozco qué tipo de libros se leen en México, pero te paso un link de los libros juveniles más vendidos recomendados a los lectores hispanohablantes de todo el mundo. http://www.libros-mas-vendidos.com/category/libros-juveniles-mas-vendidos/

Actually those books you mention are the popular ones in México, too (the "perks" of a globalized world,i supposed). When I was a teenager I read some books from Gabriel García Márquez, Borges, Vargas Llosa and Cortázar. It's a heavy reading if you are learning spanish, but their writing is delightful and just wonderful. I recommend you to start with one that you have already read in english, like Divergente. My first book in english was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it was difficult for me at that time, but I learned a lot from it.
