What is the function of the word 'talkativeness' in the sentence? What annoyed me most was his talkativeness.Syntactical function, I mean. Object, attribute, etc.

"Talkativeness" is a noun. Usually people would use it as an adjective "talkative". It is the subject of the sentence because you can switch it around and get: His talkativeness annoys me.

I would say it's an attribute because it describes him. The adjective form would be talkative.
