Salam Ah Fawad, I noticed your profile because I used to live in Kabul and speak a little Dari. When I saw this question on your profile, I really wanted to answer. My family and I had lived in Kabul for a a few years and had to leave for our safety. We loved living there and and spending time with our Afghan friends so we were very sad we had to leave. We spent 2 years in our home town in America but were not satisfied with our life there because we knew that God wanted us be somewhere that we could live in the way of Jesus - helping people, telling that God loves them, and helping them not to be fearful of other people. After two years we felt like Ibrahim when God asked him to go to the place that God would show him, but we didn't know where that was. We came up with all kinds of ideas and talked friends and coworkers. We also spent a lot of time praying in Jesus name that God would show us the right way. We felt that God was leading us to move to Louisville, KY. It was a place we had never been and didn't know anyone there, but we trusted God and moved there. We were both able to find jobs helping refugees from many countries including Afghanistan and helping Christians and Muslims here be able to relate well to each other. Our first time going to church in our new home, the man who preached from the Bible was a friend of the pastor that married us. We could not believe it. We saw many other signs that God had led us to the right place. So that is a story about one difficult decision we had. I would be happy to talk more about life in Kabul or our lives now. Khush Bashen, Matt
