pride / be proud 'She prides herself on being a good mother' What's the meaning of 'pride'? Can I replace it with 'being proud' ('she's proud of being a good mother')? Thank you very much, and feel free to correct me.

You can use the word 'proud' to replace 'pride' since they both have the same connotation in that sentence :)
