Milk's skin When we warm up milk, a solid layer appears on the surface. Some people don't like it and remove it with a spoon. In French, we call that layer "la peau du lait" (milk's skin). How do you call it in English?

Just "the skin." We don't have a special name for it.

Just skin, or milk skin.

We also call it the skin. Since it's obvious that it's from the heated milk, we don't need to add "of the milk".
