Как сказать to have someone's best interests at heart по-руский? It means to make decisions for someone else, based on what would benefit them. To do something for their own good.

I can imagine several translations depending on context. For a simple sentence like 'I have (only) his best interests at heart' possible translations may be: Я только о его интересах и пекусь. Я желаю ему только добра.

This one is tricky, it requires a context and the rest of the sentence to fall into place to make it sound natural. Ekaterina gave a the best answer in my opinion. We'd rather say we never wished anything bad to happen, or always wished well. Я не желал .... (зла, ничего плохого / дурного) However, here are some more literal examples for you: Я заставляю сына учить уроки для его же (собственной) пользы. Всё что я делал, было только в его интересах. Чёткое соблюдение интересов клиента контролируется отделом риск-менеджмента.

Several variants are possible, they are sligtly different in their meanings, you may choose any of them, depending on the certain context: Иметь в виду их пользу. Заботиться об их интересах. Учитывать их выгоду. (делать что-то), заботясь об их [выгоде / интересах / пользе / благе ] (делать что-то) с заботой об их [выгоде / пользе / благе] (делать что-то), [учитывая / имея в виду] их [выгоду / интересы / вкусы / пользу / благо ] (делать что-то) с учётом их [выгоды / интересов / вкусов / пользы etc.]
