What does "よ" mean? I've heard よ after a word like in 踊るよ or 愛してるよ Does it means present?

よ is a particle to emphasize. It's used when the speaker wants to inform the sentence to the hearer firmly.

よ is often used as a particle indicating emphasis on the sentence content and usually placed at the end of a sentence. Not sure if it is also a girl thing as Samantha mentions.

I'm used to seeing よ used as a non-formal way to end a sentence, mostly used by girls.
