I would prefer to study both, dialect is important to be able to speak in a real way or environment, as people really do, but standard arabic is also important for reading.

Egyptian arabic of course..its so widely spread and all arabs can understand it as they used to watch egyptian movies and listen to famous Egyptian songs.

It depends on why you are learning. I'm learning standard first but I started picking up bits of various dialects.

Colloquial, because that’s what people actually speak. Off course it depends on your goal. I wouldn’t learn Latin to communicate, although it’s an interesting language.
