Can anyone recommend simple/medium difficulty level French novels? Any genre is fine, any recommendations are gladly accepted!

The first Harry potter was quite simple, plus if you have already read it or see the movie, it can helps you understanding the general background. I've read them in English and it's nice because the difficulty goes up with the story ^^
