Need help with 2 german sentences 1) Die Mannschaft ist zu vielem in der Lage, aber wir dürfen die Dinge, die uns in dieser Saison immer wieder Schwierigkeiten gemacht haben, nicht außer Acht lassen. What does "Die Mannschaft ist zu vielem in der Lage" mean? Also what would the whole sentence in English look like? I can't manage to make a reasonable understanding of the sentence in english 2) Aber wir müssen vorsichtig sein und können an dem Befund nicht vorbei. For this part "und können an dem Befund nicht vorbei", does it mean "cannot look past the medical findings" (As in even though the person says he doesn't feel as much pain, the medical findings show otherwise)? 1) "zu etwas in der Lage sein" = to be able to do s.th., (more literally) to be in a position to do s.th.; (figuratively) to be able to do something extravagant/original/extraordinary, sometimes even naughty. "Dieser Mensch ist zu allem in der Lage!" So here something like: This team is able to achieve many things, but we shouldn't stop paying attention to those things that has always caused of trouble during this season. 2) Yes.
