Recently, I got into this situation where I don't know how to give an appropriate respond. It was quite embarrassing T_T

So I was in the lab and someone came looking for another person. Would someone help me to translate this to Japanese
- I was looking for X-kun
- He is not here right now, you can leave behind a note for him. I will deliver it to him.

Then when the X person came back
- There was Mr. Y looking for you. And he left you a note.

xkun wo sagashite imashita.
i was looking for xkun. 
今、ここにいませんから、 メッセージを書きませんか？xくんにあげます。
ima, koko ni imasen kara, messeeji wo kakimasen ka? xkun ni agemasu. 
right now, he is not here so, why dont you write a message? i will give it to xkun.

yさんはあなたのことを探していました。
メッセージを書きました。
ysan ha anata no koto wo sagashite imashita. messeeji wo kakimashita. 
ysan was looking for you. he wrote a message.
