I've only been in Orlando during the summer, and it's very hot and humid then, with some rain almost every day. Tons of tourists.

I don't live in Florida, but it can be very hot and humid in the summer, but nice in the winter. If you are from a cool region of the planet, you might be in for a shock. You also need to watch out for alligators and snakes and other critters. Everything grows year round in Florida, but that also means there are animals that live among the plants. You don't need to worry. Just don't wander too far into the wilderness by yourself. ;)
