Would you explain how to use 'as~as' in this case? Would you explain how to use 'as~as' in this case? The sentence is below. As powerful as is our soul's call to realization. I know the way of basic usages about 'as~as'. Most of the case, I think it's used that 'as~as' is followed by something to compare. For example, I can swim as fast as you. Thanks in advance!I added a context below. Every sun casts a shadow, and genius's shadow is Resistance. As powerful as is our soul's call to realization, so potent are the forces of Resistance arrayed against it.

This clause cannot stand alone as a complete sentence. It seems to me that something must have come before this clause to allow the clause to make sense. For example, "[Something] is very powerful. As powerful as is our soul's call to realization." Another way of saying it would be, "[Something] is as powerful as our soul's call to realization." This latter form sounds more natural in writing, but the form you gave is okay when someone is writing a rough draft, or speaking without knowing exactly what he or she will say next.
