"Un" is for a feminum noun and "un" for a mascular noun.

Hi Une and Un in French is like a/an in English but with a gender. In French, every noun has its gender. Une is for a female gender, and un is for a male gender. a daugher= une fille a son= un fils when you want to say a certain type of things, please use le/la. Le/la are like the in English.
