Others anything... "Some people guess fifty million, others anything up to a hundred and twenty-five million." I don't understand the above sentence, especially the phrase "others anything up to a hundred and twenty-five million." Please help me. Thank you

In English, if a verb has already been stated, it is often okay to omit it if used soon after, which is what happened in the sentence you gave, as follows: "Some people guess fifty million, others [guess] anything up to a hundred and twenty-five million." It's just saying that people guess as low as fifty million and as high as twenty-five million.
