Do you kiss somebody for saying "Hello" In France, we do kiss each others cheeks 4 times in a row for saying hello ( when we know well somebody or a friend of somebody ) Do you do that in the US ?

Nope, and not in Canada. In fact we avoid touching each other unless we know each other well, family or are flirting. It's actually unfortunate how uncomfortable we are with touching.

I would say that as a general rule cheek kissing is not done in the US, with the exception between female friends in California or a family member towards a child. Since by your picture you're a dude just don't kiss. If you meet someone for the first time, extend your hand to shake. Any other greeting activity: kiss, hug, or wave, let the other person take the lead. If you can talk to the person about it, (like "hey, it is so weird that you guys don't kiss hello") then maybe they will agree to change from protocol.

In the UK, we do the same but only two times and only to a woman. In most Asian cultures, kissing is too intimate.
