What do homegirl and homeboy mean respectively? For example, I study far away home and I live in school. Usually I come home monthly. If I always wanna go home or miss my families, what do you usually call that? I srarched on the internet, and there are homegirl, homeboy and home-attaching person. I dont know which one do native speakers use or how do you describe that?

We would say that we were "homesick" if we were away from home and missed it. Homegirl and Homeboy are slang terms used in the African-American and Latino communities used to refer to friends that are from the same area.

When you miss the people back at home, we call it "homesick". Homeboy and homegirl are... Like your close friends? I personally don't use these two words.
