When used as an ADVERB, the word "WAY" means "to a great degree" or "at quite a distance" or "far". Examples: way too heavy; way down the road. Thus, "way too comfortable" means very much too comfortable, far too comfortable, or to a great degree too comfortable.

"way" adds emphasis to "too" in this sentence way too comfortable = very very very vey comfortable.
