Well you could start with some vocab. Memrise has a bunch of courses and you don't really need to learn too many words or too much grammar in order to talk with Dutch people. Do make sure however that they know that your trying to learn Dutch as a lot of Dutch people are quite fluent in English or other languages. Ik wil Nederlands leren/oefenen. Is a phrase that might help. Other resources that can use is dutchpod101.com has some videos on youtube that can help you a lot of vocabulary and will help a lot with your comprehension. dutchgrammar.com could also help and if you still need help I'll be more than happy to help.
