Definitely an interesting portmanteau, poddaje. I understand that oddaja is 'program' or 'broadcast', so adding the 'p' at the front makes sense. Hvala lepa for your input!

I'm sorry I haven't seen this earlier. I believe most (at least younger) people will understand what podcast is (sometimes spelled as podkast, but neither version is in the official dictionary). I believe the word poddaje (poddaja singular I guess) was invented by a famous showman and people tend to use it in some circles quite a bit. But it's less likely to be understood by wider crowd. I'd use podcast as I haven't heard for poddaja until now. Interesting word, though.
