How to say "as" in Korean?
I just would like to know how you would say "as" in a sentence like this in Korean:
'As he sat on the wooden chair, he looked through the window'
그가 나무 의자에 앉아 있는 동안, 그는 창문을 통해 보고 있었다.
그가 나무 의자에 앉아 있는 동안, 그는 창문을 통해 밖을 보고 있었다.

그는 나무의자에 앉아서 창문 밖을 내다 보았다.
I think the Korean translation above is a little bit literal one, this is my one.

I agree with this comment.
"As" is translated as "..(할) 때" or "..(하)면서" not very often as "동안".
"동안" corresponds more to "while" or "during".

meaning as : when , during
I think the "as" is using "when meaning"
in conclusion
그가 나무의자에 앉아 있었을때, 그는 창문을 통해 보았다.
보았다(looked through) 보고 있었다 (was looking through)
